Treating Nickel Alloy For Sonic QualityTreatment makes bars of Inconel(R) 718 alloy homogeneous so acoustic waves pass through material at constant velocity. Makes possible accurate acoustic monitoring of preloads in fasteners made from bars. Eliminates longitudinal inhomogeneous regions by recrystallizing bars.
