Microstructure Of A SIC/(Ti/V/Cr/Sn/Al) CompositeNASA technical memorandum reports on analysis of composite material made of SiC fibers in matrix of 0.76 Ti/0.15 V/0.03 Cr/0.03 Sn/0.03 Al (parts by weight) alloy. Purposes of study to investigate suitability of some metallographic techniques for use on composite materials in general and to obtain information about macrostructure and microstructure of this specific composite to provide guidance for experimental and theoretical studies of more advanced composites.
