Fluorescence from photoexcitation of C2H5OH by vacuum ultraviolet radiationThe photoabsorption and fluorescence cross sections of C2H5OH have been measured in the 46-200 nm region. Fluorescence is dispersed to identify the emission systems, which are mainly OH(A-X), CH(A,B-X), and the H Balmer series. The photodissociation processes that produce the observed emissions are discussed.
