Adsorbent Removes Traces Of OxygenAn adsorbent, carbon molecular sieve containing copper oxide, selectively removes oxygen from gas mixtures, producing gas containing less than 1 part per billion of oxygen. Used to help prevent oxidation of chemicals being prepared in dry boxes or to extract undesired traces of oxygen from inert-gas chambers in which flammable gases are stored.
