A General-Coordinate Formulation For Boundary-Layer FlowFormulation for solution of equations of boundary-layer flow in general body-fitted curvilinear coordinates retains velocities in Cartesian coordinates. Increases stability of numerical simulations by avoiding coordinate source terms. In formulation, curvilinear coordinates do not have to be orthogonal, and much of software developed previously for use in numerical simulations of flow based on Navier-Stokes equations used.
