Thermal buckling and post-buckling of symmetric composite platesThe thermally induced buckling and postbuckling behavior of square and rectangular simply supported composite plates is examined using the Rayleigh-Ritz method in conjunction with the second variations of the total potential energy. Spatially uniform and nonuniform temperatures and laminates with material axes that are not aligned with the plate edges (skewed material axes) are considered. Results of the analysis are presented in graphic form.
