Single-mode lasing of Ho:Tm:YAG at 2.091 microns in a monolithic crystalThis paper demonstrates single-longitudinal-mode lasing of Ho:Tm:YAG at 2.091 microns in a diode-laser-pumped monolithic crystal. Heterodyne detection at 2.1 microns is demonstrated, and energy diffusion effects on spatial hole burning are discussed. Temperature tuning over 4.5 A is demonstrated.
