Aerodynamic analysis of complex configurations using unstructured gridsThe purpose of this paper is to assess the accuracy and utility of a new unstructured, inviscid, upwind flow solver for the aerodynamic analysis of two aircraft configurations. The two configurations consist of a low-wing transport with nacelle/pylon on and off, and a generic high-speed civil transport. Computations are made at subsonic and transonic Mach numbers for the low-wing transport and at transonic and low-supersonic speeds for the high-speed civil transport. The results include an assessment of grid sensitivity and provide comparisons with experimental data.
