Improved Warm-Working Process For An Iron-Base AlloyWarm-working process produces predominantly unrecrystallized grain structure in forgings of iron-base alloy A286 (PWA 1052 composition). Yield strength and ultimate strength increased, and elongation and reduction of area at break decreased. Improved process used on forgings up to 10 in. thick and weighing up to 900 lb.
