Solid-State Imaging Device With Carbon FilmPerformance of solid-state imaging device enhanced by coating surface through which photons enter with thin film of carbon or diamondlike carbon. Film beneficial in two ways: acts as antireflection coat, and helps to dissipate undesired static electric charges that otherwise accumulate on surface.
