Robust Method For Robotic MappingRobot constructs map from experience. Topological model consists of nodes and arcs corresponding to distinctive places and local travel edges linking nearby distinctive places. Model created by linking places and edges. Enables accumulation of metrical information with reduced vulnerability to metrical errors. Applications include robotic sentires, robotic delivery trucks, robotic floor cleaners, and robotic lawnmowers.
