Optimizing Reduced-Order Transfer FunctionsTransfer-function approximations made optimal in special least-squares sense. Algorithm computes reduced-order rational-fraction approximates to single-input/single-output transfer functions. Reduces amount of computation needed for such purposes as numerical simulation of dynamics and design of control subsystems.
