Microstress Analysis of Periodic CompositesLocal elastic fields in the unit cell of a periodic composite are examined numerically with an integral equation approach. Techniques of Fourier series and Green's functions are used to construct the integral equations. Numerical solutions are obtained using the Fourier series approach with rectangular subvolume elements. Specific results are given for a tungsten/copper metal matrix composite.
