h-p adaptive finite element methods in computational fluid dynamicsThe principal ideas of h-p adaptive finite element methods for fluid dynamics problems are discussed. Applications include acoustics, compressible Euler and both compressible and incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. Several numerical examples illustrate the presented concepts.
