Holding Fixture For Making Piezoelectric Acoustic SensorsVacuum holding device provides quick and easy method of bonding together two strips of thin film with fast-setting epoxy adhesive. Fixture holds films in place by vacuum while adhesive applied, maintaining uniform bond line between films, providing internal connection port between nickel coats on films for center conductor of coaxial cable, and eliminating need to clean up excessive adhesive. Used to fabricate acoustic sensors for use in ambulatory fetal heart monitors. Potential for other heart-monitoring applications and other applications in which acoustic sensors used.
