Oxidative stability of LARC (tm)-TPI filmsThe oxidative aging of 50-micron-thick films of LARC-TPI was studied using conventional thermogravimetric techniques and measurements of plane-stress fracture toughness. It was shown that at high temperature, most of the toughness loss occurred very early relative to the weight loss. The difficulties of interpreting TGA results in this regime and the problems of extrapolations to long times are discussed.
