Coronal sounding with Ulysses - Preliminary results from the first solar conjunctionRadio-sounding observations of the solar corona between 4 and 115 solar radii were performed during the first superior solar conjunction phase of the Ulysses spacecraft in August/September 1991. As a first result of this Solar Corona Experiment, the total electron content inferred from dual-frequency ranging observations is presented here as a function of solar distance.
