Stratospheric models and measurements - A critical comparison

Attention is given to a program to compare stratospheric models and measurements to calculate the atmospheric effects of emissions of a projected fleet of High Speed Civil Transports on the stratosphere is presented. The goals of the effort is to establish a standard set of atmospheric measurements that can be used to test the reliability of atmospheric chemistry models, develop a method for evaluating model/data comparisons, and direct the first major international stratospheric model/data comparison.
