Stratospheric OH measurements with a far-infrared limb observing spectrometerThe Far-Infrared Limb Observing Spectrometer (FILOS) is an instrument designed to measure the hydroxyl radical (OH) and other chemical species in the upper atmosphere using limb emission in the far-infrared region of the spectrum. FILOS uses three Fabry-Perot etalons in series to obtain high spectral resolution near 101/cm and 118/cm. The instrument concept, calibration, and atmospheric measurements are discussed.
