Fixture For Crush Testing Of Composite PlatesTest fixture holds composite-material (matrix/fiber) plate specimens for crush testing in universal compression-testing machine to determine energy absorption characteristics of composite material system and laminate. Accommodates specimens of two different sizes; 6 by 4 by 0.16 in. and 3 by 2 by 0.08 in., designated as full scale and half scale, respectively. Contributes to development of more crashworthy composite-material structural components of aircraft.
