Improved Closed-Loop Carrier-Phase Synchronization In BPSKScheme motivated by maximum-likelihood approach offers advantages over other well-known schemes. Proposed signal-processing system generates error signal proportional to derivative of conditional probability density function with respect to estimated carrier phase. Signal serves as feedback signal in carrier-phase-tracking loop.
