Experimental Multipass Heat Transfer with Trips and BleedTesting is currently in progress to acquire simple geometry surface heat transfer data for internal channels with trips and bleed holes which can be used in the development and validation of models. The transient liquid crystal technique is used on a simple multipass model with rectangular channels and normal ribs. Normal bleed holes are located on the floor of the model in the first channel. Each hole is attached to a flow meter, allowing various bleed flow rates to simulate external pressures on the blade.
