Synthesis of Ethylene and Other Useful Products by Reduction of Carbon DioxideThe synthesis of ethylene and other useful products by reduction of carbon dioxide is discussed. The synthesis of ethylene from carbon dioxide has been undertaken. A few different chemical reactions are presented for the production of ethylene. This ethylene can then form the basis for the manufacture of a variety of useful products. It can be used in the preparation of a variety of plastics that can be used for the fabrication of structural materials, and can be used in creating life support systems, which can lead to the development of closed life support systems based on the use of inorganic processes and chemical engineering principles.
