Ground-Based Calibration Support for Two Approved HST ProgramsThis final report is a summary of the study on ground-based calibration support for two approved HST programs. A large set of new rotational periods for low mass stars in the Pleiades open cluster have been published and used to help interpret chromospheric and coronal activity indicators for low mass stars in the cluster. The Caltech/TJC/NASA Keck telescope in Hawaii has also been used to obtain spectra of brown dwarf candidates in the Pleiades. Those spectra help to derive an accurate and precise new age for that fiducial open cluster.
