X-Ray Source Populations in Galaxies Giuseppina FabbianoThe talk will review the present results on X-ray sources in external galaxies, with particular emphasis on black hole candidates and supersoft sources. These sources will be excellent AXAF targets and it is important that we summarize our knowledge and open issues in time for the AXAF NRA.
