STS-101: Crew Interview / James S. VossLive footage of a preflight interview with Mission Specialist James S. Voss is seen. The interview addresses many different questions including why Voss became an astronaut, the individuals who influenced him, and the events that led to his interest. Other interesting information that this one-on-one interview discusses is his reaction to and the reasons for the change of the mission objectives. Voss also mentions the scheduled space-walk that he will perform with Jeffrey N. Williams, docking with the International Space Station (ISS), the repairs of equipment, and the change of the batteries. Voss explains why himself, Susan J. Helms, and Yuri Vladimirovich Usachev are the perfect choice for this mission because of their certification from Russia to work on the Zarya Control Module.
