Topographic and Roughness Characteristics of the Vastitas Borealis Formation on Mars Described by Fractal StatisticsThe surface roughness of the Vastitas Borealis Formation on Mars was analyzed with fractal statistics. Root mean square slopes and fractal dimensions were calculated for 74 topographic profiles. Results have implications for radar scattering models.
