The Distribution of Crystalline Hematite on Mars from the Thermal Emission Spectrometer: Evidence for Liquid WaterCrystalline hematite on Mars has been mapped using the MGS TES. We favor precipitation models involving Fe-rich water, providing direct mineralogic evidence for large-scale water interactions.
