Impurities Formed in Artificially Aged MethylhydrazineA sample of monomethylhydrazine (MMH) meeting MIL-PRF-27404C requirements was split into two portions. One portion was periodically exposed to atmospheric contaminants while stored in clear glass, and the other portion, held as a reference sample, was stored under nitrogen in amber glass. Impurities in both samples were periodically characterized by Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) to determine what changes might occur in MMH when it is stored in less than ideal conditions. The qualitative and semi-quantitative results of this study are reported herein.
