Anomalous Symmetries Of The Rovibrational Levels of HO2: Consequences Of A Conical IntersectionWe show that the geometric phase arising from a conical intersection of the lowest potential energy surfaces of HO2 causes its bending vibrational wavefunctions to be double valued, which allows them to be locally symmetric on one side of the intersection and locally antisymmetric on the other. The material of the proposed publication was reviewed and the technical content will not reveal any information not already in the public domain and will not give any foreign industry or government a competitive advantage.
