Effect of Interaction of the Temperature Field and Supersaturation on the Morphology of the Solid-Vapor Interface in Crystal Growth by Physical Vapor TransportAn in-situ study of the morphology of the solid-vapor interface during iodine crystal growth was done. The conditions for terrace growth, flat faces formation and retraction, competition between sources of steps, formation of protrusions, surface roughening, and defect overgrowth are demonstrated and discussed.
