Town Hall Meeting PresentationThe James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), formerly known as the Next Generation Space Telescope (NGST), will be the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope. It will carry 3 instruments to a deep space orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrange point L2, and will cover the wavelength range from 0.6 to 28 microns. The design concepts and current status of the project will be summarized, including the telescope and observatory contract proposed by the new prime contractor, TRW.
