Winter Comparison of Auroral Images from Polar UVI and IMAGE FUVSame-scene images made with Polar UVI and IMAGE Fuv are compared for the period between 2000 and 2001. The comparison indicates that the use of both instruments may lead to a better evaluation of the average precipitation than with either one individually. The evaluation of total energy input is however, not improved With use of both measurements. These results are a part of a larger investigation to quantitatively compare conjugate images using both instruments and to correlate observed asymmetries with solar wind and seasonal parameters.
