Demonstration and Evaluation of the Ka-Band Array Feed Compensation System on the 70-m AntennaThe current plan for DSN evolution calls for the use of Ka-band (32GHz) frequencies on large DSN antennas to increase antenna gain and useful communications bandwidth over that of current X- and S-band systems, with reduced sensitivity to plasma effects.
