Mission Analysis for Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA)The interplanetary orbits of three pairs of spaceprobes carrying laser interferometer antennae are designed such that their miutual distances, i.e., the lengths of the interferometer arms remain nearly constant. The pairs move relative to each other in an equilateral triangle.
