Helicon Modes Driven by Ionosheric 0+ Ions in the Plasma Sheet RegionIt is shown that the precence of ionospheric-origin oxygen ion beams with anisotropic pressure can excite helicon modes in the near-Earth plasma shet region provided their Alfvenic Mach numbers lie in a certain range.
