The formation of Stars and PlanetsThis oral presentation relates to the concept that new stars are constantly forming in our Galaxy. While much of the visible activity is hidden from view by the dust and gas from which they form, our infrared and millimeter wavelength telescopes let us see through the veil. An emerging paradigm that defines much of the process by which stars and planets form is explained. Hubble Space Telescope images.
