A New Cryogenically Cooled 8.4 GHZ Traveling Wave Maser For The Deep Space NetworkThis design has recently been adapted for operation in a 1.6K liquid helium bath with a cryogenic feed system on a 34 meter beam waveguide antenna and has achieved an input noise temperature of 1.7 K at the feedhorn aperture.
