The NuSTAR Mission: Implementation and Science ProspectsNuSTAR is NASA's next X-ray observatory scheduled to be launched in 2011. It will have two multi-layered X-ray mirror assemblies capable of focusing X-rays in the band of 5 to 80 keV, providing unprecedented detection and imaging sensitivity in a band that only coded-mask or collimated detection has been possible. In this talk I will describe the instrumentation and the prospects of using it to perform various kinds of astronomical studies.
