When Is a Bernstein-bezier Curve the Graph of a Function?The question of determining when a Bernstein-Bezier cubic curve in the plane can be represented as the graph of function in some fixed orthogonal coordinate system is considered. The notion of a curve being monotone in a given direction is introduced to aid in the analysis.
