A note on the computation of antenna-blocking shadowsA simple and readily applied method is provided to compute the shadow on the main reflector of a Cassegrain antenna, when cast by the subreflector and the subreflector supports. The method entails some convenient minor approximations that will produce results similar to results obtained with a lengthier, mainframe computer program.
