Natural laminar flow and laminar flow controlThe present volume discusses the development history and basic concepts of laminar flow control, laminar flow flight experiments, subsonic laminar-flow airfoils, and a design philosophy for long-range laminar flow-control commercial transports with advanced supercritical airfoils. Also discussed are the relationship of wave-interaction theory to laminar flow control, supersonic laminar flow control, and the NASA-Langley 8-ft Transonic Pressure Tunnel.
