Results of the Telstar system communications testsThe results of the communications tests on the Telstar satellite system which have been conducted at the Andover earth station are presented. These tests have included successful transmissions of telephone, television, and data signals. In addition, measurements of received carrier power, noise, transmission characteristics, linearity, data system errors, absolute delay, and Doppler shift have been made. The results are in good agreement with the expected performance.
