Robust precision pointing control of large space platform payloadsLarge space structure (LSS) secondary controllers to enhance inherent damping, and primary controllers for controlling rigid-body modes and structural modes are discussed. It was concluded that LSS control is stable and robust and offers promise. Further investigation is needed on the effects of actuator/sensor bandwidth.
