Evaluation of seals, lubricants, and adhesives used on LDEFA wide variety of seals, lubricants, and adhesives were used on LDEF. This paper will discuss the ongoing Materials Special Investigations Group investigation into the effect of the long term exposure of these various materials to the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) environment. This investigation includes the testing of hardware at Boeing, documenting and collating experimenter test results, and deriving 'lessons learned.'
