Equations for the Induced Velocities Near a Lifting Rotor with Nonuniform Azimuthwise Vorticity DistributionEquations, which can be integrated on high-speed computing machines, are developed for all three components of induced velocity at an arbitrary point near the rotor and for an arbitrary harmonic variation of vorticity. Sample calculations for vorticity which varies as the sine of the azimuth angle indicate that the normal component of induced velocity is, in this case, uniform along either side of the lateral axis.
