Eastern Basin Terrane and South Pole-Aitken Basin Ejecta: Mid-Level Crust?The relatively mafic annulus of material surrounding South Pole-Aitken basin and highland deposits around Crisium and other eastern nearside regions are broadly similar and indicate mid-crustal compositions of 6-7 wt.% FeO and 1 ppm or less Th.
