Uncertainty Analysis of the NASA Glenn 6- by 9-Foot Icing Research Tunnel 2024 Characterization TestThis Contractor Report presents methods and results of a measurement uncertainty analysis that was performed for the 6- by 9-Foot Icing Research Tunnel (IRT) located at the NASA Glenn Research Center. The systematic uncertainty analysis is based on data collected during a facility characterization test conducted in 2024. The random uncertainty analysis is based on data collected in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025. The statistical methods and engineering judgments used to estimate elemental uncertainties are described in this report. The Monte Carlo method was used to propagate systematic components of uncertainty through the data reduction process in order to quantify the uncertainty in variables of interest (VOI). A description of the Monte Carlo method as applied for this analysis is provided.
