Best Practices for Predicting UAM Noise with CAMRAD II and CHARM for AARONAs eVTOL vehicles become more prominent in the US market, the need for accurate rotor noise prediction increases. The NASA Revolutionary Vertical Lift Technology project aims to address this issue by developing the NASA RVLT Conceptual Design Toolchain. As a part of that Toolchain, two mid-fidelity codes, CAMRAD II and CHARM, can be used with the rotor noise prediction tool AARON to complete these predictions. As these tools can often be complicated to use, these best practices were developed to ensure predictions are completed correctly for more accurate results. The best practices are described in this report and are then applied to three models: a simple rotor and two NASA RVLT reference vehicles: the Quiet Single Main Rotor and the Side-by-Side. Additionally, an example of using experimental data to validate the codes is presented for a DJI Phantom 3 rotor.
